The 2009 Pinot Bianco Riserva Vorberg emerges from the glass with floral-infused honey, butter, chamomile and ripe, succulent apricots. This is an especially succulent white that emphasizes texture and lushness over minerality. Layers of open, expressive fruit build nicely to the rich, creamy finish. I imagine the 2009 will enjoy a broad drinking window. I have a slight preference for the 2010, but would be tempted to serve the 2009 with richer cuisines that can handle the wine's weight.
