Exotic aromas of pear, orange, dried apricot and honeycomb; reminded me of a pinot gris vendange tardive Thick and fat with fruit, but on the heavy side, with dominant flavors of orange, apricot and resiny oak and little sign of minerality. Slightly aggressive alcohol here. Finishes long and apricotty. I would never have picked this dense, exotic, rather extreme wine as Batard-Montrachet. Serve this with foie gras!
